HR in the Cotswolds

About this event

HR leaders are being asked to do more than ever - build high-performing teams, navigate change, retain great people, strengthen culture and demonstrate real business impact.

But what should you actually be focusing on?

Join Gillian Fox, Founder & CEO of Optimal People, and Sarah O'Neill, Founder of Cotswold Collective, for an inspiring lunchtime gathering for HR professionals, People Directors and business leaders who care about building great organisations - and want to connect with others doing the same.

Together, we'll explore how culture can become your single most effective competitive advantage - and what that looks like in practice.

Gillian Fox - Founder & CEO, Optimal People

With 30 years' experience in senior global HR and talent roles, Gillian's career has spanned multiple sectors and cultures, working with organisations including Allen & Overy, RBS, Friends Life Plc, Reckitt Benckiser and Euromoney PLC, where she was Chief People Officer.

Gillian founded Optimal People in 2019 to bring together her extensive experience in people, performance and leadership. Having operated at C-suite level for many years, across organisations at very different stages of their commercial journeys, Gillian brings a wealth of experience in culture change, C-suite and leadership development, HR transformation and executive coaching.

Sarah - Founder, Cotswold Collective

Sarah founded Cotswold Collective to encourage people to discover, support and champion local businesses through an app-based rewards platform.

Cotswold Collective works with employers who provide memberships to their teams as an employee benefit -creating a meaningful way to reward employees while also helping to support the local community and economy.

Sarah will share her perspective on how businesses can think differently about employee benefits, connection and community - and how supporting the places where your people live can become part of your culture.

Real stories from real organisations

We'll also hear from Gemma Millard from Redkite Solicitors, about the important role culture plays within their organisation and how Cotswold Collective memberships have been embedded into their team and their way of life.

Expect practical ideas and perspectives from people working at the sharp end of people and culture.

We'll be discussing:

- What should you really be focussing on as an HR leader?

- How can culture move from something you talk about to something that genuinely drives performance?

- What can we learn from CPOs and senior people leaders who are navigating these challenges every day?

- How can we make our organisations better places to work while delivering meaningful business impact?

You’ll leave with:

- Fresh ideas about culture, people and performance

- Practical inspiration you can take back to your organisation

- New perspectives from experienced HR and business leaders

- A better understanding of how culture can create competitive advantage

- New connections within the Cotswolds HR community

- And, hopefully, a renewed sense of pride in the work you do

Come along, meet your local HR community, hear from some brilliant people and leave feeling inspired about what's possible.

Places are free & limited. Booking is essential - we’d love to see you there.
